actually when the international cricket comunity was established then they suggested that there should be 13 members in a team.
but chlavish arnold a former england cricket player suggested that there is to much crowd in the ground.so he suggested that there should be half number of players of the pitch size.and as we all know that the size of a cricket pitch is 22 yards.so therefore the numbers of players in a team is 11.
but in football i don't know.

Vishwanathan i am also from palakkad. i am in kumarapuram in palakkad. I dont know the answer. actually there are 13 members. 2 are substitution. i am a palakkad boy. best select pannu please.
