If youre taking it for birth control, you might get pregnant
If you are taking it for regulation of your periods, you might get irregular again, change of flow, miss periods, or not have any at all. As far as I know not mush else if you haven't had side effects already. If you are emotional you have some crying/angry spells until you readjust. I generally don't have noticiable side effects when I come off of it. Hope this helps.

If you've only been on the pill two months with no side effects, it's really not necessary to go off of it right now.

When you are on the pill, your body gets regulated by it and it takes a few months for your body to get back on its own normal cycle once you stop taking it. If you take it and stop taking it too many times, this wouldn't be good for your system.

If you don't like the idea of synthetic hormones, try using the ovulation method and other forms of bc like condoms, foams, or diaphragms.

The biggest disadvantage that I can think of is that you will be messing with your hormones. Rapidly starting and stopping any hormone treatment isn't good for your body. Plus the more you do that the less affective the pill is. When you do that you are forcing you body chemistry to adjust and at some point it will no longer be affective.

Some of the other answers where pretty good advice too. Good luck.

I quit the pill for about 5-6 months and then went back on it and i didnt have any side affects the second time. We're all different though.
