Barry is paying the price for the way he treated the media when he was young. He was very cocky back in those days.

Bonds was the same when he was with Pittsburgh. He refused to sign autographs or talk to fans. The Pirates and Bonds went at it during intense salary arbitration sessions as well. The Pirates and Pirates fans could not be happier to get rid of him by the time his contract was up in 1992.

So from 1993 till now he's been in San Francisco solely as a gimmick for Pete. The fans on the other hand believe him to be the godsend of Giants baseball.....Barry Bonds, hitting performance enhanced homeruns for the San Francisco Giants since 2000.

"Let me say this. Any way you look at it, it's wrong."

He was the same asshole he is today. I was reading in Game of Shadows that he would say that he was the boss of the team and get in other people's faces and tell them to go f*ck themselves. He's also a major racist. The only reason he started using 'roids was because he was jealous of McGwire (He said in the 98 season that the media wanted a white boy to be the hero) To sum things up, once an asshole, always an asshole.

Not a whole lot better. To quote from a 1991 column by Pittsburgh sports columnist Bob Smizik:

"In response to the question of what kind of jerk is this guy the public had an answer: a big one."

This was precipitated by an on-field screaming match with his manager, Jim Leyland; repeated whinings that he was being treated unfairly; and accusing teammates of being malingerers.

He was worse then, he's lost alot of his eyre because he cannot think of anything else clever to say now. It's hard to talk with your foot in your mouth.
