I know that the driver's seat is on the right side rather than the left. How are the pedals situated? Would one operate the clutch with the right foot, and the brake and gas with the left? Or is it the same as with American cars?

For the most part each of you are right; before you are allowed to get your driver's license you, first learner's sticker that would be a BIG red " L " on your car. When you come to a full stop, such as at a signal light you must set the parking brake lever. Light signals flash Amber, green to go and a combo of Amber / Red to stop.

Most British cars that are made in England today, either have the driver's wheel on either side it really up to you as the person interested in purchasing that particular model.
What I would like to know about those British cars is, Where do you put that BIG key that is used to wind those cars of theirs..
Surely not in the glove compartment..?
