In General Terms RAM is the speed of your computer the more the ram the faster is the computer...ofcourse it should be with the combination of processor......And Hard disk is the space on ur computer where u save your files.....the more the hard disk size the more data you can store....
8bits=1KB
1024kb=1MB
1024mb=1GB
So this is how we count the space....i hope you got it...cheers
Cheers

RAM is "memory" which is used by the CPU to store data during processing and is lost once you power the computer off. It is also called temporary storage, or volatile storage.
The hard disk is what you use to store data on permanently, just like writing to a piece of paper, the data is not lost when you power it off.
Basically RAM is for number crunching storage, and the other is to store the crunched numbers.

RAM - RANDOM ACCES MEMORY...It stores ur data temporary and then display it on screen and then erase it. if it is more then it will store more data at a time so it will give u fast result.
HDD- it is the space to store data perm. u can store all the data in ur hdd. u can see it as C: drive or D: drive. it will not erase ur data untill u will delete it.
