I recently interview for one of my top dream job and after the interview she asked me if I wanted to do an observation at the job site. I told her that I did and I called the site supervisor to arrange an observation. After the observation, I sent a thank you letter to the interviewer (via email). The interviewer called me the next day and told me that she is still interview other applicants and that she will let me know when she came to a conclusion. When I went to monster.com, I saw that she posted the same hiring ad ( on that website right after she called me). Does anyone know what this means??? I emailed her saying that i'm still interested in the position and I asked her for a timeline. Is the call she made to me a good sign? Was I too persistant in contacting her???

It means she wants to interview more people before she makes a decision, you could still get the job but i won't count on it, keep applying for other jobs and don't be to persistent she already told you what she was doing now just wait but keep applying for other positions you might even find something better. Good Luck

I'd follow up via phone in a week to let her know you were still interested. Keep desperation from your voice, however. If you do not get the job, don't sweat it, it merely means it wasn't for you and there will be other jobs/opportunities to come. Be encouraged!

It means you have a chance of being accepted for a second interview, but that you certainly aren't high on their priority list. Apply for other jobs!

Its great to be interested, but dont be pushy. They dont like to be pushed. She just wants to see more applicants, thats all. Just hang loose. If its meant to be, then it will be.
