THEORETICALLY, it could be done. Would I recommend it? Not only no... but hell no.
First, the point of his being in Texas is, what? Second, last I checked, to get married at 16 you need parental consent. So assuming you get that, I would suggest you look to your parents for guidance in planning your wedding. Third, grades in classes and "lots of extra sports" does not a wedding planner make. There are many things you'll need an adult to handle for the simple fact that you'll most likely never get anyone to take her seriously. Fourth, who is paying for it and do you think they're going to hand money over to a 12 year old to handle?

You mentioned that your friend has an A plus in every class and does lots of extra sports, so are one of those classes she received an A in on how to be a wedding planner? I suppose my answer is this: It really depends on the type of wedding you plan on having. If you feel confident in her A plus , extra sports ability to get everything ordered and planned by your wedding date, then you should be fine. I'm wondering why your family, or his family aren't helping with the plans. Good Luck!

no. no one will take her seriously. and planning a wedding involves tons of stress that she is not ready to deal with. in fact, no ONE person should plan a wedding. you need at least a few or the ONE person will end up FREAKING out before the end. But seriously, honey, if you were planning on having a 12 year old plan your wedding, then you MIGHT not be anywhere near old enough to get married yet.

Are you serious? How are you getting married when you are still a minor? On the off chance you are serious - you should really get an adult to plan your wedding - your 12 y/o friend might have trouble booking a reception and/or purchasing alcohol...

do you live in an orphanage? why would you possibly want to get married at 16? life only happens once you should let yourself be free first, anyway you for one don't even sound mature enough to get married your having a 12 year old plan the most important day of your life and have to ask if its OK? your not one of the brightest of the bunch i feel kinda sorry for you dear.

Heck no. If you want things done right, get a professional to plan your wedding. Its supposed to be the most memorable and happy day of your life, and you dont want to leave it up to a 12 year old.

What if when you turned 21 and you wanted to be wild like any 21 year old would want to be. What are you going to do? Your future husband might want to run your live and not let you do anything. cause hes jealous and don't want people looking at you. ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN!!I would say your to young and to think it over for a while. However i'm not your PARENTS!!! GOOD POINT ADVENTURE!!!

Check out this site my gf put up prior to our wedding in Nov.
http://malaysiaweddings.awardspace.com/
Look at the article on Tips for Reducing Wedding Stress!
My gf indirectly learns about the various ways to plan our wedding by researching from the web and putting up the site. Hope it is useful to you as to how it was to us.

I know its ur friend but you should at least find someone who has been married 2 help you! or you can do it together. But no one really has the "perfect" wedding anyway so just expect some untold events!
