Center: Wilt Chamberlain. This is a tough one because there have been so many over the years. Bill Russell had more championships, Kareem's sky hook was unstoppable, but overall Wilt was the most complete center.
Power Forward: Kevin McHale. Mr. Automatic down on the blocks. Plus, with his long arms, could defend centers and forwards. He revolutionized the power forward position.
Shooting Forward: Larry Bird. No one even comes close on this one. The most complete player in history. He could do anything and everything on the court, but always within the framework of the team.
Point Guard: Magic Johnson. There have been some great point guards in the past, but I'll take Magic over all of them. His size made him hard to defend. He could have scored alot more, but decided championships were more important .
Shooting Guard: Oscar Robertson. What? Not His Royal Highness Michael Jordan?? How could that be? Well, my only answer to that would be, if I had a team with Wilt, Bird, McHale, and Magic, I sure in the hell don't want some ball-hog on my team keeping the ball out of their hands. But, I would have him coming off the bench. LOL

First Team/Second Team/Third Team
PG- Magic Johnson/Nash/John Stockton
SG- Michael Jordan/Kobe Bryant/Earl "The Pearl" Monroe
SF-Larry Bird/Reggie Miller/Big Game James Worthy
PF-Karl Malone/Charles Barkley/Dennis Rodman
C-Shaq O'Neal/Bill Russell/Kareem Jabbar
The above are my teams. I had to leave some off because there are so many great NBA players, both living and dead.
My team should be balanced in scoring as well as defense.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

You people are idiots the all time starting five should be Kobe Bryant and four players of his choosing. Its so obvious Kobe will go down as the Greatest Of All Time. Hes 27 years old and accomplished so much already, Mj can't even get NEAR Kobe, all you ignorant souls out there that say MJ is better what are you guys basing your facts on? Yea, Mj had better stats FOR NOW. But Kobe had to played wit that big sack of feces name Shaq, if kobe was drafted by the clippers or something he will average 50 points as a rookie, Kobe will average 50 one day probaby when he's 30, easy. The truth is Magic Jordan Bird Kareem and Wilt combined I think is the equal of Kobe i gotta give them that. But they have to play him tough 5 v1 and even then I'll still bet on Kobe, in a seven game series of these five guys vs kobe it'll probably go 6 games, I think Jordan can pull out a game and maybe Bird will get hot from beyond the arc and win another one, but Kobe will win it in six. It'll be hard fought I agree, thats the only way anyone can challenge Kobe now if u ressurect these 'legends' aka KOwannaBES to their prime. Next year at age 28 Kobe will probably average 40 9 and 7 the lakers should get rid of everyone on their team and pick up high school players so kobe can take 50 shots a game then it'll make the game so much easier to play then the Lakers will win 80 games easy. For the all star game it should be Kobe VS The Rest. I think kobe will win but it will be close I say final score KOBE 109 NBA 107 I'm not a kobe fan Im just telling it like i see it completely unbaised

SG - Michael has to be in - NO QUESTION
PG - Oscar Robertson - Very underrated (Averaged a triple double for a whole season, but had the unfortunate fate of having to play for cincinatti and milwaukee)
PF - Magic Johnson - I know this isn't his main position, but that's just it -- this guy was versatile enough to play center if he wanted to.
SF - Larry Bird - A legend among legends, along with MJ and Magic.
C - I always thought that Olajuwon outplayed any other center, including Shaq (and he had better defense and a ton of blocks, too).

NEXT SEASON HE WILL PLAY LIKE HE DID IN THE PLAYOFFS CUZ NOW HE KNOWS THAT THE REST OF HIS TEAM CAN DO SOMETHIN. I SWEAR U R LIKE IN LOVE WITH KOBE. SO GO KISS HIM OR SOMETHIN.
my starting five would be
PG- Avery Johnson- NBA assist leader all time
SG- Michael Jordan- best player ever
SF- LeBron James- only 21 and won all-star mvp and came second in regular season voting
PF- Dirk Nowitzki- Tallest best 3-point shooter and clutch free throw shooter and shooter
C- Dikimbe Mutumbo- Won the most defensive player of the year awards
LeBron James will be better than kobe..... He already is!
