i can go into chat i can type and hear some people but not all and also get no ones text back

YOU might have to REMOVE your YAHOO IM ...
Clear your Cache
Do a Disk Cleanup
Re-Boot
Then RE-DOWNLOAD
See if that works

mostly people at chatrooms dont reply back and nowadays there is flood of bots in rooms.....
