When will Sprint PCS and Nextel merge there Telephone and Direct connect features? I like Nextel but in my area there coverage sucks. Sprint PCS has pretty decent coverage in my area. I think if Nextel was everywhere Sprint was or at least if they developed a phone with both Nextel and Sprint services on one handset it would be great.

Actually it will be out by the end of the year (hopefully). It will be a Motorola... called a Tracer, it will be yellow and black. the dual band phone will be able to switch back and forth but not for use for both networks at the same time. They said they have not worked out all the bugs but , but on the projection screen it looks similar to the i836 (kinda curvy) They also have a remote control car that will be controlled from your Java Apps. UMM what Else.. the i580 and the i670 are already in production....

The will not be on the same network for at least about another 5 years. They do offer mobile to mobile features, but for dual coverage there is nothing as of yet. If sprint has the better service in your are, stick with that!
