The war between the North and South in the Civil war of the US. We each had flags. The North won. The rebels lost, the rebel flag and confederate flag, same thing.

The rebel flag was the flag of the confederate states in the Civil War in the United States. It has become a symbol for rebels in all things now. Most usually in the souther United States.
It is used for everything from Basketball team mascots to bumperstickers on cars!
It is just a symbol that goes along with with the Hank Williams Jr. son A Country Boy Can Survive

It has remained a symbol and rallying point for freedom loving people, primarily in the south of the US. Its stands for self reliance and uncompromised principles. It recalls the pre-Kennedy days when the Constitutional guarantee of States Rights was honored by our government.

I hear this all the time anything is what you make of it.just like the indians had a swasticka in their symbols but yet if you see it you think of hitler or nazis.You got to ask for your self what is the intent it is displayed.people wear outfits that are a solid color but that doesn't mean the're in a gang.They may just like the color.It is all some ones perseptions of what they want to believe some thing is.
