I'm sorry for your losses. The best site with message boards you could ask for is www.ectopic.org It is absolutely fantastic and a great help for anyone who has suffered loss through ectopic or miscarriage.

I had an ectopic in July '04 and this site was invaluable to me. It inspired me to donate eggs last Spetember

I'm not sure my experience is what you are looking for, but I am going to tell of my miscarriage.

I was pregnant with twins and didn't know it. During the 6-8 week of the pregnacy I started cramping and bleeding. My husband took me to the hospital and the ER doctor was rude - he told me that if I was miscarrying there was nothing he could do, so I might as well go home and wait it out. I cried soooo hard. The next day I went to my OB/GYN and told her. She was furious. She gave me an ultrasound and we saw one healthy baby with a good heartbeat. When I hit 35 weeks, I started having preterm labor, but I wasn't dialating or progressing. I was sent home and placed on bed rest. Every 3-4 days I was at the hospital with contractions that were 10 to 15 minutes apart. This was my third pregnancy so I knew what to expect - kind of. Srill no progression and no dialation. At 37 weeks I couldn't take it anymore, so I begged my doctor to help me. She said that she would give me 1 more week and then induce. I was so excited.
I went in to be induced and started progressing nicely. Until I hit 3 cm. I was at a full dose of potocin and still nothing. My doctor decided to break my water to see if that would help. It did but just a little. After 18 hours of pure misery the labor and delivery nurse came in and asked if I minded her training another nurse on how to check the dialation - by this point I had been poke so much I didn't care. When she checked me she looked really worried and told me that my doctor would have to come and check me again. So now I got worried...my doctor came in and checked me and told the nurse that sure enough there was another bag.

After all was said and done, my doctor explained that I must have miscarried early on and just not known it, and that the twin had to of experienced the "invisible" twin syndrom since all they recovered from my delivery was a second bag.

This happened 2 years ago (Johnathan Matthew turned 2 on May 6) and we are now expecting again (I am due Feb 25). For this pregnancy we used the Dr Shettles method for non-invasive gender selection.

I had a ectopic pregnancy when I was 17 and I didn't even know i was pregnant. It was pretty bad and I had terrible pains where I couldn't walk. so I had to have the surgery right away. anyways, since that happened I been more careful. I'm older now and have two daughters with no problems. i wish you the best of luck.

I found out that I had a miscarriage in the beginning of Feburary, this year. It was an absolutely heartbreaking experience for me. I had two seperate occasions of spotting, and my doctor didn't send me for an ultrasound until 12 weeks.I was expecting to see our little baby for the first time, instead it was then that I found out that I had a blighted ovum pregnancy. I was absolutely devestated.

I had to have a D&C, and it wasn't sucessful. The doctor didn't remove all of the products of conception. I ended up being admitted to hospital for a week, in severe pain and being very sick before I had another D&C.

I wanted to conceive again as quickly as possible, and my doctor recommended that I wait one month until becoming pregnant again. I did get pregnant the first month trying again, and although I still grieve for my baby, I am very happy to be 15 weeks pregnant.

I had a ectopic pregancy and I have had several miscarriages, double digits. I conceived with a fertility drug and then would miscarriage very early. Finally the doctor tested my progesterone levels. What is supposed to happen is the egg is fertilized then your body produces progesterone to support it until the embryo can produce the progesterone itself. What was happening is that my body would not produce it. I found out by going in on the day I ovulate, and then every three days after that so that they could check my progesterone levels, instead of going up, mine went down. Even when I had a fertilized egg mine would go up peak and then go down. Progesterone is easy to take, what I did was take clomid (fertility drug) for 5 days and then on the date I was supposed to ovulate I would start my progesterone. and take it for the rest of the month. At that point the embryo was self supporting. I don't know if you are under a doctor's care but they are going to have you chart out your cycles for a couple of months taking your temperature everyday, so that they have something to go on before they will even start the clomid part. Good luck, it worked for me.

I had a D&C on May 19th of this year. I had a blighted ovum. All I think about is getting pregnant again. I've started several things to help my chances.

1. vitamins
2.ovulex (I've heard a lot of good things about it)
3. BBT
4. CM charting
5. fertility friend (very helpful)
6. I'm trying to get progesterone (sorry about spelling) I've heard that it increases your chances of having a healthy pregnancy

I had a miscarriage may of last year and i don't know why it happened.

It was a terrible thing for me to go through and i haven't tried to get pregnant again cause i am too scared.

I do know a doctor though that could help you. He is great. I know people that have gone to him that couldn't get pregnant for various reasons and they all ended up pregnant within a year.

Dr. Richard Levin (Louisville, Kentucky)
His website is http://www.babies-by-levin.com

Good luck and sorry for your losses
