Even the warranty and guarantee are made void by various unfair trade practices and with cleverly worded conditions and stipulations and in fine print.I know of some products sold in India many years back with markings MADE IN USA but USA means ULLASNAGAR
SETTLERS ASSOCIATION or some such thing!!!!
The MRP(MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICE) would invariably charged at many places whereas even if 10 or 15 % reduction is given they wont stand to lose.
The expiry dates are rubbed off or not visible etc.
Even old stock bought at lower prices are disposed off at current higher prices.
By market segmentation and brand names, trade names they sell at different prices. In medicines by combinations and formulations much money is made and even shared with doctors, chemists etc.
They would quote the airfare as basic but taxes as extras which may make a huge difference.
Some Korean Companies sold Refreigerator but then went off the scene
They may change models and may not supply the spares for older models,
By so called replacement of whole assembly they fleece customers. Instead of changing the bulbs the entire assrembly may have to be replaced.
I can add on but I am under pressure from the manufactiurers lobby that I shoul stop here and no further under threats!!!!!!

putting children in a position where they feel they need certain materials in order to be somebody. Ridiculously beefing up the prices. A pair of sneakers does not even cost $15 to make, but yet we find people struggling to buy a pair of $150. no food in the fridge but got a nice pair of shoes on the feet and suffering from malnutrition... If you have the means splurge your money. But learn to live with little now so you can live comfortably tomorrow. But your monthly pay should not be cut in half to impress people.
