Yes. You need to get a "code" layout that is generally found through other "myspace" users. Search a random person's profile, and they'll generally have a background that is hosted by another website.
When you reach that website, find the background you want, go to your own myspace, click on "edit profile", and in the column "About Me," paste the HTML coding.

Do a search for thomass' myspace editor on yahoo,you can edit from there and click finished and a long link will come up.Paste that link into the about me area of your myspace profile.
