While it is sad, and its about a guy who expresses regret and a reason to change his life because he lost the person he loved,
Its really something that I and my Husband can relate to, We both had a very rough past.. and we made it through everything because of each other... He is my reason, I came close to loosing him, and we saw sides of each other that really changed our views on our relationship and struggled with many issues, although we almost paid with are own lives we managed to make it through, we leaned on each other and our love to make it through. We learned who we really were after we tore at each others hearts, but unlike the song it didnt take seperating to help us to realize that he was my reason to change and show a side of me I never knew... and I was his! We have been married happily for almost six years, we have two children and my life is complete.. I have never felt more happy and alive.
That song describes our relationship and what it took to realize we needed to change for each other.. I dunno its sort of hard to explain. We made this song our song because it was like reading a chapter from our past...and what it took for us to realize just exactly how much we really loved each other
