38 years young VS 38 years old.....hmmmm perception can be a B I T C H depending on how we feel about ourselves.
Our whole life is like a drop of water on a hot skillet when compared to 'everything' as a whole. In this aspect, the concept of time really doesnt matter.
You can look at it this way. The last part of your brain to actually finish growing are the areas that contain our ability to reason. This completes its growth in our late 20's (many folks dont know this). So from this perspective, you could be considered only about 10.
Knock knock knock.....can Web come out and play????? 8o)

Absolutely NOT. Of course if you're asking a 75 year old or a 10 year old the answers would differ. At 38 your have had a number of years to learn many things. Hopefully the learning has involved a few course corrections. That makes you young. I must ask - How Do You Feel? If your inner you is still youthful then that is even better. Use the aging process to learn, learn and learn and ofcourse make those course corrections. The best to you - You are very young.

"Old" is when your body can't cash the cheques that your ambition writes. A 250 pound teenager who walks like a bag of jello and sweats cooking grease is "old".
I'm close to 38 (which side I won't say) and can still physically do everything I wanted to at age 20 (except that I have the money to do it). My hair is thinning, but I'm fit and thin, and I can pass for age 30 because I never smoked or drank heavily.
Old? I'll consider myself old when I can't run an 8 minute mile.

numerically, for those below 35, yes they think you are old. i'm 31 consider these: your age is nowhere in the calendar, the 38 could stand for someone's waistline in that age bracket mostly, & most if not all athletes, are retired by that age..
Sad? nah, we all get there. I myself am goin out of the calendar nos. this year. its all about how you see and live life. take supplements and exercise hard. then you'll feel younger, but may look older. who knows?

God no!! At that age you are just now maturing and learning enough to become a functioning human being and able to make intelligent decisions! Besides, "old" literally is a state of mind.

My sister and I have always had this "thing" where, once you hit 46 you are old! So no, you're not there yet! I'm sure I'll re-consider what old is when I get closer to that age!

Depends on where you walk. Go to high school, you're an old f*rt. Go the nursing home, you're still a spring chicken.
That's means I'm an old f*rting chicken in the fall.

Only by people who are much younger. Most people don't think of someone as being "old" until they show visible signs of nearing the end of their life spans.
