Could someone please explain to me why people are always like "omg i cant believe this star left that star for that other star" WHO CARES it's their lives, and if they want to make the bug screw-up and dump Jennifer Anistion for Angelina Jolie, or get into a catfight with Paris Hilton, then who are we to stop them? best explaination gets chosen as best and gets extra points

Everyone wants to be rich and famous. Viewing famous people's lives makes people believe they can be like that some day. It's as simple as that. Everyone wants to live that way. It's the American dream.

No one bothers about them with any real feelings but
for press Its the battle for survival
for teenages - Its an opportunty ti imitate and feel good about themselves as they are unable to see anything good in themselves till its approved by a britney or a paris
for poor people - its curiousity to know how the famous people live, wear, eat and fart
For rich - its curiosity again to find out what they can addon to be more glamorous
For religious people- they provide an opportunity to be screamed and shouted at their bad ways whenever they fall down
For old people - its helps to revoke the nostalgia that they lived in such good time and now see how this generation has screwed up the world
For me personally - The newspaper pages featuring the celebrity news are made of glossy paper and it makes for a good cover for my old books. A pout full of jolie makes my drab books look interesting!

I never could understand that myself. I have found that folks like that are consistently the same type who like the soaps, Jerry Springer and the reality craze. I think it has a lot to do with the "busybody" syndrome, where people look for the drama and chaos in other peoples lives as a way of not having to deal with the pain in their own lives. The bad thing is that they are neglecting the very things that are causing themselves this pain and those things continue to worsen.

People seem to think this gossip is important, like Paris Hilton and Angeline Jolie are 2 of their best friends.

Staring a relationship with someone who would file restraining order if you tried to talk to them is a grate way to have something to talk about with as little intellectual value as possible.

Truly agree dude. I guess the reason for this kinda chat and gossip is boredom. People get so bored with their own life that they start picking on others. And the easy ones are the Celebs. (They cant shoot at you back).
Another Could be the immense interest in their fav celebs. They wanna know everything that happens in that persons life.

because people are being stupid and have nothing to do because they have stupid lives and just want something to gossip about and as far as paris hilton goes she is the most annoying THING on earth aside from my grandads dog that is totally looney. by the way i totally agree w/all the leaving people thing or whatever you wrote but i dont really care because i (like normal people that could care less) am just trying to get through life without hurting someone physically.......again.......oops!

Well these people (celebrities) are people we see everyday on television, ads, movies etc. So its like we know them. We partically know their whole life. So when something like a breakup or whatever happens its a shock to us because celebrites are like for ex. a poplular girl in school. Everyone knows her, they spread rumors about her etc. If the popular girl was to breakup with a guy who she dated since like 2 years, everyone would be like OMG what happened. Who dumped who? Well celebrites basically just let everyone into their lives so its no wonder everyone knows about their whole life but it is us who decide to read the tabloids about their lves.

I ask myself the samething everytime i read and hear all this bull with all these stars but thats part of their career in a way they are getting all these headlines and they make this and that and sell pictures and videos and all kinds of things and we as humans love all kinds of gossip thats the way nature is............But it true who cares i dont they aint paying my bills
