I believe it's an early Fleetwood Mac song, it has a verse" don't ask me about the shape I'm in, I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin," does this sound familar?

The song is "Oh, Well" and performed originally by the "early" version of Fleetwood Mac, when they were primarily a British blues outfit. It was written by their guitarist at the time, Peter Greene, who was one of those incredible talents who had some incredible problems. Sometime after Greene left the band, Fleetwood Mac spent some time in America where they picked up Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks.

The first studio version of the song goes on for about an hour it seems, and is only good for dropping acid (according to an old hippie I know.) The live version, recorded "Live at the BBC," is the version we most often hear on classic rock radio.

I've heard many covers of this song, and performed it many times on stage, but a version I heard recorded by Kenny Wayne Shepherd a few years ago knocked me outta my seat. Please check it out, if you have the means.

"Oh Well" by the Rockets is actually a cover of a song by old Fleetwood Mac, written by guitarist Peter Green, which was ostensibly a major hit in Britain ten years before the Rockets version.
