Justin Gatlin, American sprinter and winner of the gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics and world record holder in the 100m, is considered the fastest person alive. As for the slowest...its so debatable I doubt there will ever be a consensus.

As far as I know Justin Gatlin (USA) and Asafa Powell (Jamaica) are tied as the world record holders in the 100 meter dash, with a time of 9.77 seconds. However, I do not know who the slowest person in the world is.

asafa powell, justin gatlin, and me are the fastest people in the world. the slowest is one of the japanese sumos.
