I Have a problem. i keep hearing this "beep" sound on my computer, and i cannot contact my mom on the yahoo! messanger.

Are these two problems related in any way?!
Well for the beeping problem, go to Control Panel --> Accessibility Options and go through every tab unchecking any tab that calls for a beep everytime you do something.
As for the Yahoo Messenger thing, you have to add your mom's email to your list and she has to be online while you are and not blocking you. Otherwise I dont think there could be a problem.

When you hear the beep, do you see any block pop-up strips? That beep is telling you something. Look on the screen for something that wasn't there before the beep. That will tell you what the computer is trying to tell you. As fay as the messenger, you might have to re-install it. I doubt it, though. Keep trying to contact her.
