do you mean "paintings"?

i'd imagine that it has something to do with the amount of effort (art) being put into the making of said work, wouldn't you?

They didn't have photos in 1500 and paintings didn't depict double penetration.
Or dildo machines.
Or people drinking pee.
Or ...whatever else your imagination can come up with.
