I have a problem with flamboyant people in general...those dudes in their pimp-out rides whose music is so loud it makes MY vehicles vibrate, the lady in the dairy aisle who makes a big deal about buying the name-brand ricotta cheese, and so forth. Am I the only one who notices this stuff enough to be bothered by it?

I don't react to them, I just think, "Are you that needy for attention?"

I have to agree with you on this one. I really dislike loud, flamboyant people or people who speak so loudly you know it's because they want you to hear what they're saying.

These are also the people who dress or otherwise behave in a manner that says look at me and when you look, they ask what you're staring at....

I think these types of people don't feel good enough about who they are in real life so they have to draw attention to themselves to be validated.

This is different from people who identify themselves as performers and who openly admit they are seeking attention - some of these folks are great and add enrichment to our lives.

We can only see characteristics in others that are also present in ourselves. Where are you flamboyant? Or, where are you suppressing your flamboyance?

These 'encounters' may be offering you a wonderful opportunity to explore yourself and to learn and grow. Socrates said 'know thyself'. Life is really good at providing events to reflect our hidden inner qualities. Do you wish to be or need to be more 'flamboyant' in your job or career? In your love life? In your creative and/or artistic side? What is the lesson you need to learn from this type of behavior that annoys you? Emerson said that all of life is a mirror. Try looking at this 'annoyance' as a guide from the universe in helping you learn something valuable about yourself.

Hope this was helpful. Best wishes.

They don't do that stuff to be liked ... they do it to be noticed.
All about the Attention.
And it works because obviously - you've noticed them!

Yes - they're annoying. In the shop I work at we call them S&D (Special and Difficult)
The best revenge is to learn to ignore the behavior and not let them get the attention they crave. If they don't get the attention they want from you - they take their noise somewhere else to get attetion from somebody who will look.

I enjoy people watching. You can learn a lot about people by observing and analyzing their quirky behaviors. So I don't mind so much. But sometimes if I'm just not having a good day I do find myself a little annoyed.... but not usually.

People are different and express themselves differently. Dont be bothered by it. Embrace the differences, the colors, the personalities. Life would be boring if we were all the same.

no youre not wrong for feeling how you feel, i get annoyed by the same things, these people enjoy drawing attention to themselves it just screams "hey pay attention to me" i have this or i have that...besides drawing attention to themselves or what they are listening to or buying ect they could be doing something else useful with their time....like focusing more on being considerate of others...it could be a start......

hahaha you sound just like my sister. We'll go to the mall and if theres a woman playing the "but this was in the sale area" game in the line my sister will get all mad and curl up her fingers and like start muttering, its pretty funny.

the more you show signs of getting aggravated by such people, the more it says about your state of mind. so don't bother giving them the attention. ignore. go about your thing as if they don't exist. unless they are really hassling you or anything. IGNORE.
