Because it promises more than it actually delivers.
Cell phones make you more connected to people? (Do they really? Have you taken a call during dinner or a movie?)
The internet brings a world of information to you everyday? (Is that a movie trailer I see on your desktop?)
Cable/Sattelite TV is full of rich entertainment... (The Simple Life.)
Likewise, Myspace.com is exactly as the above... it reconnects you to friends, who still don't wish to talk to anyone for some reason which I am sad to say inculdes both you and me, it allows people to rant in a blog that is really only read by you and one or two people who are your friends but are going through the same things so they can't offer you any real wisdom or comfort that they can't say better in person, and it allows 80,000 guys to visit girl's 'homepages' and repeatedly hit on them with well-thought and meaningful, romantic musings such as 'yr cute... can we chat?'
Okay, so I'm a little jaded. If it works for you, indulge. Just don't be too expecting of it.

Well everyone loves myspace because u can contact with your friends or people that u havent seen since the longest well thats what i do ..

because somehow it sucks you into a world of its own. i swore i wouldnt become of one those myspace junkies...but sadly i regret that i am one. i wake up in the morning, get my coffee and let the dogs out, immeditately after i hit the computer..check my aim messages and my email accounts and next on my list is myspace then facebook..then dance.net and so on..
somehow you start on that thing and cant get off!

i checked it once.. it looks like some blog or some profile page.. if thats the case then it sux.. yahoo profiles and yahoo 360 is better than that..

I've never been on that site, so everybody isn't following on that bandwagon. That's all it is anyway. One person does something cool and everyone else follows.
