No, most aren't due to it being a significant religious holiday. However, there are convenience stores open all the time on every day. The only time they close is when they are robbed and the police need to print the scene. Needless to say, you were both right. It definitely wasn't worth dying over though. Good luck and play nice!!

There are more stores open on Easter than their are on Christmas - which is ironic becouse Easter is a much more important holiday...

But stores are open EVERY day of the year...

Butthat seems like an odd reason to kill some one.

Since Easter is on Sunday, the stores that are normally closed on Sunday will be closed, and the stores that are normally open on Sunday will probably be open, if at a reduced staff.

Anything like a 24 hour drugstore will probably be open in greater cities, but in smaller areas its quite possible that no stores would be open - unless you include restaurants that cater to the holiday cooking style.

I think it depends on the area of the country. In small towns and in the South more places are closed. In larger cities and metro areas most places are open. It isn't a national holiday or anything though.
