a little "one sided" and "closed minded" to the idea that someone may be VERY liberal.

I'm now wondering if I asked this question correctly... what I was getting at is all the Libs calling people Neo-Cons (and a variety of other names) and at the same time there is no one calling Libs, Neo-Libs.

I asked a question last week - if there could be any "militant moderates" out there since I heard people discuss this on NPR. I want those people to speak up and not let their opinions be overshadowed by the rest. I suspect that there are not too many of them left. My mother 20 years ago was a liberal Republican, an environmentalist and a feminist. If she were still alive today she might have made a great contribution. Now it seems that since the Reagan years the Republican Party has disgraced itself with all this bullsith about abortion, letting the Rabid right set the agenda. It' seems to be full of liars, scoundrels and corrupt hypocrites. The Dems are spineless sheep. What we need are a few honest people with common sense and a clear vision. I don't see any yet.

What was it that Churchill said something like if you aren't a liberal when you are 20 you have no hart while if you are still liberal at 40 you have no brains. Even Jesus it is said you will have the poor with you always while he will be there only a little while - this was said when some lady was putting expensive oil on his feet.

JFK in his inaugural address said to the effect ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country. Get educated. Contribute to the wealth of the country by being creative.

What exactly is a Neo-Lib? Is this like someone that while watching a brawl between Ann Coulter and Rosie O'Donnell realized they became sexually aroused. Or is it when you graduate from high school and realize you are 35.

Don't know what a neo=Con/lib is. I think I'm open to new ideas and I'm definitely not a repug.

The fundie xians (beyond Neo-Con..) tend to stay in the religious area... I guess it depends on where you're looking.

I'm sure the lefties are around somewhere..

being liberal to neo-cons means being very liberal. they are so far right that by comparison, even those liberals close to center seem lightyears to the left.

All the liberals are out having gay sex and shooting heroin they bought with food stamps on Friday night, while the conservatives are staying at home and saving their hard earned money they got today. Yes, I know that sounded mean, but it's true.

I've actually noticed the opposite. There are a lot of anti-Bush comments/questions, especially tonight. Good to know that you feel the opposite, maybe it's more balanced than either of us think.
