HIV/AIDS epidemic, wars, poverty creating orphans. They are also victims of internet crime, human trafficking, abductions etc.

EDUCATION, this is the only way to fight these sorts of things. It has been shown that educated people are less likely to contract diseases or go to war. Also you need to bug your gov officials to get bills passed to fight these things. unless they feel they won't get relected alot of officials just tend to do nothing and pass stuff to make them or thier friends richer.
But making people aware of these things is the only way to stop them and educating them how to respond and act, NOTHING else will work as well.
