As the admin, you need to be able to set it up so that you make a unique workgroup name. Then your computer must be synced to the same network as you, and all computers must be set to the same workgroup name. Then you need to set up a small home network and make your files share-able. Then under NETWORK PLACE, there should be an option for the other computer to view all computers in the workgroup. Your computer name should be there as well as the other computer name, assuming youre trying to hook up two computers. Then just click on it and you should see the shared directories.

Also: your workgroup name and their workgroup name MUST MATCH (Unless you use XP Professional, but it's still a good idea.) to see each other's files. Different workgroups = no talkie.

all computer sharing the resource must have the same username and password, second the firewall may be disabled. the resource may be re-shared and its permission from its praperty menu be set to read. try it, if you want different users to read the share, then enable the guest account with no password on all computers. try itt. if it does not work tell me your operating system.
