Also on some DVDs, the Bonanza music is not the same. On some TV stations, they use the original soundtrack, but, other TV stations use a replaced theme song that sounds out of place. Why is this?

Also, I noticed the same with "The Andy Griffith Show" Sometimes, they use a different theme than the original.

Paying for the theme song involves paying extra money.. It's not included as part of the show..

Rusty is correct. Once a show goes into syndication, opening and closing themes change or stay the same based on prices negotiated.

I have no idea why they changed the theme, but have you seen the episode where Hoss is convinced there are leprechauns in the woods? yoohoo! Come out come out wherever you are! Funnier than an old lady in hot pants.
