If so, I have been watching it on TV land and missed two episodes and when I watched it last night Christine was expecting a baby. Who was the father, The detective? What happened did he get killed?

I believe they separated in a later episode and ultimately divorced. Like a lot of "Today's" comedies someone thought comedies like "Night Court" were useless if merely made for laughs and fun. So they brought in the Divorce issue. I have always disagreed with this type of "creative" thinking.

Yes, it ran on NBC-TV from 1984-1992. Stars Harry Anderson, Richard Moll, John Larroquette, Markie Post (joined as a cast member in 1985), Marsha Warfield (joined in 1986), and Charlie Robinson (joined in the second season). It's distributed by Warner Brothers. And the theme song never changed during the entire run. TV Land currently airs the program I think.

I remember the show, but not well. My guess would be that the father was Harry.
