Years ago, I was driving a friend home from the airport at 2:00 in the morning through a very bad part of town. I yelled at her to lock her door and immediately locked mine. She argued with me and I screamed at her to just lock the door. A 1/2 a block further and I stopped at a red light and 2 huge guys with bats came out and tried to open the doors then started swinging the bats at the windows of the car. It's the only time I deliberatly ran a red light and got the heck out of there. I believe it was a miracle because I think we would have both been dead if someting hadn't made me insist to lock the doors at that very moment.

I agree with jolenex101. You and I being alive is the fundamental miracle of life. Of billions and billions of sperm cells that raced from your father's testicles, only one survived to achieve unification with your mother's ova, to produce the exact, same you, with your totally unique DNA code and hence, features. Its a thermodynamic miracle, just like how oxygen spontaneously combust in supernovas to produce gold.

After that, every single moment in your life is a miracle. There is an infinite number of possibilities from which your life can choose to take course in every single moment that passes, but it chooses to take the one you are living. Its more than the miracle of winning a lottery because if you think about it, the chances of your life taking the course that it chose is one divided by that infinite number of possibilities, which is, mathemically, zero.

Of course. God fills my life with miracles--both large and small--daily. =) The fact that He calls me His child is a miracle, considering how I have sinned against Him.
