Hmmmm, where are the Pistols, The Clash, The Ramones, etc...The Damned are still here and not making any money like a real Punk band!!

The Ramones were and still are the best band ever and the best punk band ever The Clash was also one of the greatest punk bands ever but they had a different style of punk since they mixed jazz and funk into their music which made it sound different then most other punk bands of the time and The Sex Pistols were also one of the greatest punk bands they introduced the whole anarchy thing into punk and as for The Damned they are also one of the best punk bands ever I personally like their earlier work like Machine Gun Etiquette and Damned Damned Damned and how they have manged to stay together all these years I guess is something not many bands can accomplish but there are some other cool 70's punk bands who are still together and are still touring The Adicts started playing in the 70's and they're still together and touring same thing with The UK Subs they started in the 70's and they're still together and touring.

the damned are more psychobilly than punk...The Quakes are psychobilly still making music 20 years now! & touring in a van... no money... there are lots of em still around! The damned are pretty DAMNed cool though! sheesh the ramones all died... the sex pistols were origianlly a manufactured "boy band" created by Malcom McClaren to compete with the Bay City rollers fer cripes sake!!! then there is always Iggy Pop! but he is in movies & stuff so he prolly has a nest egg...(if he didn't smack it away)

Sex Pistols, Ramones, Dead Kennedys, Zero Boys, Circle Jerks. D.O.A., F.E.A.R., and other punk bands from the late 70s and well into the 80s are real punk bands.
