what can i do to make it go away when i get one?

drinking tons of water can help. also drinking cranberry juice helps tons! Cran-grape juice is much better tasting than cranberry in my opinion...

You can try to flush your body by drinking lots of water and cranberry juice. If symptoms persist, visit your doctor. He or she will prescribe you antibiotics.

How to avoid them:
# Drink plenty of water every day.

# Urinate when you feel the need; don't resist the urge to urinate.

# Wipe from front to back to prevent bacteria around the anus from entering the vagina or urethra.

# Take showers instead of tub baths.

# Cleanse the genital area before sexual intercourse.

# Avoid using feminine hygiene sprays and scented douches, which may irritate the urethra.

there are over the counter cranberry pills that help prevent UTI's which ive heard do help. Some people are just prone to them avoid baths. and of course drink plenty of water

Yes plenty of water cranberry juice if it doesn't help get some anitbiotics. Untreated uti's can give u many more problems u don't want.

I think you can only go to the doctor. They say that there are many causes, and it is best to get a prescription. Try drinking cranberry juice too, it is gross, but it helps!
