Its a moot point.
The Church does not sanction gay marriage and would not perform the ceremony even if your state allowed it.

Yes. All people in love have the right to marry, and if they are Catholic and they want to get married at their church so be it. Many younger Catholics do not have a problem with gay/lesbian or bi people and feel that they should have the same rights as all of God's children, due to the fact they are God's children too. Others will need a little more time to come around. But once many "church people" didn't like white and black people getting married but they came around after meeting them. We just have to wait a little longer.

That's a contradiction now I'm not Catholic but have spent a lot of time in catholic churches and their beliefs are that same sex relations are a sin. What catholic church would marry them? Are the catholics that desperate for members they would go against their own beliefs?

If they can find a priest who will marry them, more power to them.
I intent to have a wedding ceremony of my own a few years from now, and I will have the privilege of my father, a Southern Baptist minister, performing the ceremony in Louisiana. There may not be legal benefits from this, but it will still be a sanctifying of our union.
It is quite possible to be gay and Christian. It's a matter of faith versus religion and the church. I'm hard pressed to find a congregation that I enjoy being with, for various reasons, not just because I'm gay. And while various churches and groups may denounce me, that doesn't mean I can't have my own relationship with God and have faith. I may not follow a particular religion/denomination, but I can still call myself a Christian. It amuses me that so many people, gay people included, consider gay Christians to be an oxymoron...they simply aren't.

I personally dont have a problem with gay people at all. As long as they are of age and are both consenting..i dont think anyone should have any reason to complain. The catholic church is very staid and will never accept same sex marriages. I feel thats sad. Alot of gay people are good people and have a lot to offer.

I don't know why you would want to be catholic if you were gay but if that is your faith then why not be able to get married in a church.

If they are gay they aren't devout and if they are clergy they get defrocked. Humans lusting after flesh is all they are.
It's funny because people base their relationship with God on their expectations, not His. Read his Book to find out what his are (not just the 10 commandments, idiots)

"The church doesn't condemn gayness", this is what I was told by some moron. If the church in fact is true and preaches the Lord's Word, then No.
If the church is some pagan shithole tippy-toeing around certain Biblical books as if loop-holes in man's law, then sure.
