if you dont have the book that came with your computer. It will take about 3 weeks to explain everything. But you could open all the icons and check them out for your self. Or go to the operating system web page and check all the components that go with it from there or request a list.

To answer this question would take about 3+ weeks, however there is a book you can buy that tells you what each file type does and what each individual file does, ummm I can't remember it's name but you might want to have a look on the ms website.

Depending on why you want to know maybe you could even do a course of some sort to learn more about windows and it's elements
