Can virus spyware infect computers when instant messenging with yahoo messenger or others AIM MSN etc.?

as long as u didnt execute files from them or if they gave u a link and u didnt click on it there's no need to worry about it.

There is a possibility of course, when someone (preferably strangers who Imed you) posts up a link to a malicous site or when you accept files and photos infected with viruses wanna be sent to you by others.

When talking to strangers when you IM them or if they IM you, try not to click links and accept files by them if you don't know them well or unless the file looks safe.You can, at least, just talk to him/her.

Yahoo! users are always in this kind of threat. MSN may look spam-safe, but there are hackers who can bypass all of those stuff, so maybe, prevention is the best weapon, an anti-virus is only a back up.

Yes , virus and esp spyware and trojan can come in thue using
messanging be it Yahoo , Google talk , MSN or SKYPE.
So install anti spyware and anto virus for protection with firewall.

Usually only if you accept files, photos or go to malicious websites people send you in the IM. Make sure you run a good antivirus, firewall and ad-ware program.
