A truck that small isn't designed to pull a trailer that big, especially if the trailer is loaded. Your radiator is heating up...just think of what you're doing to the TRANSMISSION! A Ranger is a good little truck, it's just not for heavy hauling.

Check your water pump, make sure your anti-freeze is exactly 50% water, look for missing fan shrouds and spoilers. Try running the heater to cool the radiator when it's too hot. Check the fan and fanbelt.
A friend of mine hauled a little two door import a couple of hundred miles and had to scrap his Ranger because he screwed up the transmission.

Maybe you need a heavy duty radiator, like a 4 row radiator,, also I highly recommend an external transmission cooler kit if its an automatic transmission.....

A ranger is not men't to haul 2,500 lbs w/ a 6 honestly. Buy a real truck. ( P.S. GM )

you need to install a extra cooler for radiater, and oil cooler, and transmission cooler. it's worth it. have one, got em.
