I'm not a hippie stupid, I'm a professional (i.e., advanced degree).

I AM crude, and I like it!

The hippies that I know are stinky, thus the point of this question. Sure, maybe it's just the hippies I've met...I AM generalizing.

I think the best is to take the shower first and then you can spray you body with patchouli or any fragance you like :)

All the hippies that I know shower, and then apply patchouli when they feel like it. I rather like the fragrance myself, though it is not appropriate for absolutely every occasion. It sort of hints at an earthy, mysterious, creative, rebel type of attitute. Without such expressive people, the world would be too boring with a bunch of scared lackluster conformists.

patchouli - that's the shyte. i burn patchouli incense, which is lored to call forth spirits and energy of prosperity (and fertility - but i am all good on that front, very happy with the two kids i've got, thanks). might just be working, because the little business i run (which i pursued driven by the hippie virtues of free-spiritedness, service, honesty, connectedness, humility, and disdain for the wasteful vicious corporate world) is doing pretty well. not bad for a lazy hippie.

oh, yeah, and when i step out of the shower, which i have to confess, i do almost every day, i slog on some all natural patchouli deodorant. it's true. and the chicks seem to dig it - get my fair share of positive comments, which is only a bonus. i wear it, i burn it, cause i dig it.

how's the advanced degree life workin' out for you? i seem to detect a little resentment in your "snarky and opinionated" demeanor. one has to wonder, is snarkiness just an easier-for-you-to-swallow form of fear? opinionated, are ya? ahhhh, yes, opinions. opinions are like azzholes - everybody's got one, and they all stink.

funny, i think universities (y'know, the place where we go for those fancy degrees) are a product of that historical period known as "the enlightenment." hmmmmmm, you'll pardon me, won't you, if i am having a hard time imagining "snarky"-ness and enlightenment existing compatibly in the same being?

aaaahhh, and to think of other products of "advanced degrees" - george w. bush, dick cheney, saddam hussein, osama bin laden, jerry springer, geraldo rivera - yes, your proud ownership of an "advanced degree" clearly demonstrates that you have taken your place among "the enlightened." you should be proud.

Professional idiot?? I wear Patchouli and I can't even begin to tell you how many women have turned their heads and started sniffing it out. Unfortunately, I'm a woman. But everytime I get a whiff of it I follow my nose, and I get this feeling that makes me..... well, you know. Maybe them damn hippies know something you don't without a degree.

get a haircut and get a real job

the only hippies that should exist are the real ones from the 60's- if you are 23 and call yourself a hippie it's just an excuse to be lazy and non-productive

obviously the advanced degree did not do any thing for ur personality, as one of the originals from the 60s i say damn capitalist. and of coarse a shower is always better.
