Life is based on some occurrences that are random and others that can be manipulated with a greater degrees of certainty depending on one's control of their environment. As such, the random events may fall greatly in your favor, greatly to your detriment, or somewhere in between. I would not call that fair as there is no probability that your outcomes will balance. The controllable events may be manipulated by somebody not concerned with your well-being or may be manipulated by you with a lack of regard for others' well-being. I would not call that fair, either. The way to optimize your experience is to have as much control and knowledge as possible, be insulated or non-threatening to those who have more than you, and to avoid as much as possible events with unpredictable outcomes.

When things go wrong, we very often think that life isnt fair. It really seems that way sometimes. But, you really do have to work at it..you get out of it what you put into it. 'Fate' is only the weight of circumstance, its not predetermined. You have to take the hand your dealt and just do you best with it.

My ex-mother-in-law always told me to get the word "fair" out of my vocabulary, because life is never fair. Best advice she ever gave me.

Depends on your definition of fair. Life is what you make it. If you expect the world to play by your rules, you are going to be disappointed. Maturity is the ability to handle life's problems and find satisfactory resolution.

No...I do not think that life is "fair'...however it IS 'JUST'......we cannot expect to have things weighed in our favour all of the time. It could be years until we even begin to see the fruits of our efforts ~ now...considering this...does it change your mind as I have posed how I see it? Things, all things will happen in their time, and honey i am one to want to speed things up. Often however I cannot.
ENJOY what there is to enjoy, endure what there is to be endured and embrace your capacity to LOVE with all that you are.

No, life isn't fair...but I hate it when people sit around and complain about how sucky their life is when they could get up and make changes.
