the truth is that there is nothing really fast about it. I am divorced and let me tell you some things. First off I dont know what state you are in but in Indiana, you can go through the clerks office at your local courthouse, it doesn't cost much, I paid $25.00 but there is the matter of children and property. If none of this is an issue than it shouldn't take more than 60 days. The other party has the right to postpone any procedeing. If there is no contest on eighter behalf than the judge with sign off in 60 days from the date of the order. If there is an issue the judge will request that an attorney be brought in that can argue on your behalf. If a attorney is not an option than I suggest that you both set down and agree to everything. settle out of court and that will be the most cheapest way, remember though, if there are children involved make it easy on them and settle on the best interest for them. Divorce is not as quick as getting married, know that you have all of your ducks in a row before you start. Good luck

Not knowing what state you are in, hard to answer...Some states you can file on your own and there is usually someone who can help you fill out the paperwork, you might also want to look for a paralegal to help you fill out the paperwork or possibly a divorce center, there is a multitude of resources on the web to assist in finding someone to help you with a divorce, if you have a lot of assets involved or children, you will definitely want legal advice, you might be able to get a free consultation.......wish you luck.

try legal aid in your state . its free as well contact your local dept of heal and human services they can be of help on this matter as well /
