They WILL feel rejected. Just be clear. Thank her for the offer. Tell her something you like about her. Then explain that you aren't / can't be looking , happily married, etc.

Well just thank them if there was a compliment and let it go at that. If there was an outwardly aggressive display of flirtation, just politely say, I'm sure you are a nice person, but I love my wife too much to disrespect her, even if she is not around. Also, you mentioned how to send the message without them feeling rejected, or embarrassed, you don't have to yell at anyone so there should be no reason for them to feel embarrassed, and rejecting them is ok too because you are in fact married.

If she presses the issue then stop her in her tracks, and that's what she gets for overstepping her boundaries. Naturally she shouldn't be having unnecessary flirtatious conversation with a married man.
If you just tell her you are taken as the commonly courteous answerer would do, she should understand and get over it in a jiffy :)

You sound like a great husband! But does this happen to you often?
If this happened to my husband I would be very proud of him to actually say what you said.
But If I was the girl you just dissed I would be embarrassed and upset.
So say thank you, I'm flattered, but I dont think my wife would like this situation. But thank you again, you just made my day.

Brushing off a flirtatious woman will surely make them feel rejected. To lessen the pain, you can either intentionally ignore her or just tell her that she is not your type.
You can say her this "I will pray that you find someone you deserve and loves you, sister!"

Just either tell them that you are married or say, "Not to be mean or anything, and personally no offense against you, I cannot return feelings to you, since I am happily married and with someone else."
Sounds different, but whee?

Tell her that you're married and you don't know her. And then jokes, make her laugh. She might feel better when she laughs. Or you can tell her like this.
" I''m married, I'm sorry. Don't feel bad, one day or maybe tomorrow you will find a perfect guy for you. I mean you're pretty (if she is), it's just that I don't know you"
Perfect?!! I hope this is a good advice

Just say you are very flattered but you are "the most married man in the world". It's okay to be pleasant but honest, the ladies won't be offended!
Oh brother... listen to me... as if I have this problem a lot.

there is no way to hint around this. people don't get hints as they only see what they want to see. being blunt is the only way to make sure the message gets across. if women approach you, just don't engage in the conversation in the first place. check your watch and get out of their way.
