The flag was first designed for the south and north fighting for control of either side it was not for the right to have Black slaves. Yes some was treated bad and some was treated good but what is the deal please let this Honky know something

African Americans for the most part hate the Confrderate Flag, Because of what it represents. For one it constitutes the desire to continue slavery, it also was against the federal laws of the north. It was thought the the states should govern themselves. Then to there ignorence, I say ignorence because African Americans served under both flags. Little is taught about this fact because the mass population of this country in lossing the war is does not care to admit that they lied, or tricked slaves into believing that they would be freed for their service.

15000 black soldiers volunteered to fight for the Confederate Army. They did what they thought was right. They knew the war wasn't about slavery but about a life they wre used to living. They are American heros the same as the other soldiers on both sides.They could have gone North and fought for Lincoln.

they never forgave the confederates for them wanting slavery and most of those people who have that flag in today's society are against african americans just because the color of their skin. if those people were allowed african american slaves they would have them in their homes. i feel they should do the same with those people who want slavery they should turn the tables and make them work as slaves.

It is simply a symbol of oppression, and hatred, that was used against the black race by the second group of KKK.
(The first group was a benevolent order much like the ELKS today)

when your African American and u see that flag I think of racism because ppl who throw this flag up for pride they were proud to be racists and continue to keep the Black's down
