A CD ROM stands for compact disc & DVD is digital versitile disc. CD ROMs dont have the speed & the technology to read a DVD. Its like trying to play a music tape in a 8track player.

You will need to get a DVD drive for your computer.
As for the progrram watching it, you shouldn't have a problem. It should open in a defult player.

not that I know of sorry. DVD drives are cheap nowadays. I suggest getting one that burns DVDs as well. that way you're one step ahead. :D

no, the laser in a CDROM is not compatiable with a DVD.. just will not work. You can only watch VCDs on a cdrom
