Doctors usually want you to wait until you go to your 6 week checkup.

Your supposed to wait until your 6 week check up. I waited the full time with my first one, and I had sex between week 4 and week 5 with my last one. If you do have sex early don't lie to your doctor when they ask you tell them that you did. My midwife asked me. Just take it easy nothing to rough for a while.

6 weeks for vaginal sex. After your six week checkup, your doctor should give you the OK for intercourse. It is really important that you wait until then, because of risk of infection. Good Luck!!

Doctor says it takes six weeks for your uterus to go back to it's normal size. If your feeling up to it, your body says it's right, wait atleast 4 weeks. Don't forget that you can get pregnant again right away if you're not taking birth control.

You have to wait about 4-6 weeks. But you should talk to your doctor about it also.

Vaginal sex - generally you need to wait about 6 weeks, to give your body time to heal and to avoid the risk of infection. Speak to your obstetrician for confirmation.

docters say six weeks but if this is your first child you may find yourself wanting to wait a lil longer, maybe even trying after six weeks but taking it slow, going only by your speed.
