One, Quit acting like we're the be all, end all people on earth...Two, get our big gun nuclear warheads that would annilate the entire world off the planet...Third learn to live with all people, regardless of race, creed, or color....for reallllllllll. Otherwise we will kill off ourselves..for sure

Do you notice how people on this site use it as a way of sounding off at those whose opinions differ? I am amazed at the insult-hurling going back and forth. Christians v. non-/Christians; those who think Bush is a saint and those who see him as evil; Those who hate the Iraqi war and those who think it's glorious. And venomous comments smugly hurled by self-righteous (and probably semi-educated) people on all the hot topics.
If you can consider this Yahoo site a microcosm of American society, we are in big trouble. What will it take to save American Society? I don't even think Gandhi, ML king or Jesus could help at this point. (note that I am talking about Jesus the historical figure, not the religious icon)

Realistically, it probably can't be done. History is replete with examples of societies establishing themselves, then growing, then self-destructing. What usually brings a society down is when most people begin to believe there is one true path, one successful way to go, and then they start to go there. I guess it's a bit like when everybody on a small boat decides the best view is off of one side, so they all go stand there, and down goes the boat!

Nice answers so far. They show the main reason there is so much unrest in the USA. Ignorance.... Complain Burt don't vote, don't get out and campaign for people they trust, don't bother to read beyond the headlines. and have had too much for too long.
