Doctor Donald D. Rose of KFRC in San Francisco was the best. I was stationed in the bay area in the mid 1970's and would listen to his morning show all the time. He also did a voice-over for Jefferson Starship's "We Built This City" ("The city by the bay, the city that rocks, the city that never stops"). I found that he got his start in a radio station near where I live in Iowa.

Another favorite would be the late night host, Dale Seidenschwarz (aka Clyde Clifford), of the program "Beaker Street", a program of underground music from 1966 thru the mid 1970's. He was actually the night time transmission engineer and double as the DJ just because the transmitter had to stay in operation over the night. Some of the most fantastic music was played over the clear channel KAAY-AM, Little Rock, Arkansas. The show got its name Beaker Street by virtue if some of the "Acid" Rock they would play.

Due to tv time and internet , I do not listen to the radio like I used
to. The cable has so much music on these days I do not even'
listen to my own music. When I was a little girl I used to love
Wolfman Jack , He was cool and king at that time.
