Well, why do we answer them? Then there's the fact we are spending time on this box in the first place....What is stupid to one person isn't necessarily stupid to the asker. Perhaps the asker is trying to get some entertainment value out of the answers..some can be very comedic. There is also the possibility the question is a real problem for the asker and, odd or silly is it may be, the asker needs a legitimate answer. Then there is the last possibility, the asker is simply and ignoramus and has no idea what is going on. If the last one is the case, we should really applaud the asker since, being an idiot, the asker figured out not only how to use the computer, but get to this place to pose the question. Some questions are asked just to see what kind of response that they will get. Then there are others that really would like some help with a problem that they have in their life. They maybe stupid to you but to the person who asked it in the first place. If you don't like the question then don't waste your time in answering the question

what is your definition of a stupid question? who cares? that is just your personal opinion on others kind of question. If i say your question is a stupid question too for asking this online, how would you react? This is a free website where you can ask and answer, stupid or not. If you don't like the questions, then you don't have to answer.... just leave it and go to the next one.

i like what one person i know said about stupid questions.
"the only stupid question is the one that is not asked"
so what makes you think that it is a stupid question? is it because the answer is obvisious to you? things are obvisious to some but not to others.

I know, scary isn't it? What's even more scary is the thought that they don't know they're stupid questions - they're serious. Yikes.
