Yes, unfortunately they do that pretty frequently. Not sure why but never seems to bother them too much, just business as usual.

No, it is not normal for a 2 month old baby to vomit during feeding. A little spitting up after feeding is quite normal, but frequent vomiting is something that the doctor should know about, especially if most of what she just ate came back up. If that happens, she is not getting the nutrition she needs for proper growth. Try burping her after every ounce or two, making sure she is held upright when she feeds, and giving her less formula at a feeding. The doctor may suggest a change in formula. Call and talk to your doctor about this.

He/She could have acid reflux. If so, you should burp the baby a few times during the feeding. Vomiting is normal. If you're feeding formula, you may want to try a different kind. If your baby is power puking three feet in front of her/him, then it could be the flu, or something else and you should call the doctor. If you live in Canada, I'd suggest calling telecare. I had to burp my daughter twice per bottle, and then make sure she stayed upright for a half hour after feeding, or she'd vomit it all up. Not fun! Good Luck! hope this helps!

yes. that is normal for some babies. These babies have reflux , means they cant keep their milk down to their stomach. My son had the same problem till 5 th month. If he takes more milk than required he will spit up as whole. So i used to feed him exactly the amount he needs. But we cannot be perfect every time , but we have to be prepared for everything. Be cool and feel that it is not our fault. It is normal and it never bothers babies. They will throw up milk if in excess and soon they will drink again to make up for that. But every time when we feed babies we have to be careful that his head is always in raised position than his stomach. Also burp them well. The best way for that is put on ur shoulders and pat. Keep them upright close in your chest for atleast 15 min. This helps a lot. This way I felt is really working and I found whenever I put baby down soon after feeding he spits up. Hope this helps. I am sure it will help for some range.

I also had this problem with my daughter. My doctor and midwife both said that it's because the sphincter at the top of her stomach wasn't very strong yet. It sometimes takes a while for it to become strong. My daughter would fully vomit all the milk she had just drank about once a day. She would also do this while she was in the middle of nursing. It became less and less, and she finally stopped when she was about 3 months old. My doctor said that in some rare cases it's a sign of something more serious. He was only concerned if she was loosing weight, which she wasn't. As long as your baby is gaining weight, it's probably nothing serious. If you have any concerns at all though, please check with your doctor. God Bless

She probably has reflux. My daughter had it as well. Her doctor can give you some prevacid tablets to dissolve in her milk, but honestly, from experience...don't give her all these medicines because they don't work. Most babies that have reflux out grow it....so I guess time just takes care of it. My daughter had it when she is 2 months and she is 7 now and has no problem. One thing that did help though, was putting a little bit of rice cereal in her bottle...I know its a bit early, but its thicker so she will be able to keep it down easier.

It is normal for a baby to spit up. Try burping her more frequently when feeding. And after the feeding, let her sit up for 10-15 minutes to let everything settle.

yes, my daughter did the same thing. she threw up all the time. the doctor tole me that as long as she was having 6-8 wet diapers a day, she was getting enough. and your baby will grow out of it. in the mean time, if she is bottle feeding, burp her after every ounce that she drinks, if shes breast fed, just stop her often and burp her so she doesnt get any big bubbles that will cause her to throw up.

she should only be eating 4oz of formula. anymore and she's being overfed... if that is the case, she is probably vomiting cuz she can't take anymore. baby at that age, don't necessarily know when they are full, so it's very easy to overfeed them. i used to burp my baby after every ounce. and then gradually started burping every 2oz (half the bottle) and it helps most of the time. or go to your pediatrician and tell him everything that you have been doing and maybe he can come to a better conclusion.

Yes, if you do not "burp" the baby in between the feeding.
Baby gets lots of air in it's tummy and a good burp will help
to get rid of the air. Especially when baby is feeding fast.
If you are really worried about it, go and see your doctor.

All babies spit up. But you haven't said whether this is breast milk or formula. If is formula maybe your baby is allergic and needs to have a different type of formula. I breastfeed all three of my children and the first two had formula as well.
