To copy pictures onto a CD, you need a CD Burner. If you happen to have a CD burner, there should be software that comes with it. If it came with your computer, go to your Application Recovery Disks and find the software, if you bought the CD burner separate, the software should be in your box. In other words, yes, you preferrably need software to burn pictures into a CD.
Windows XP does have a burn option (where you drag and drop your files using the right click button and selecting burn, though dont expect to do much with it except for burning CDs.)

Just put your cd in the cd-rw drive and open up the folder where your pictures are on your computer and move them onto the cd and then once you have moved them all select burn.

You need to a) have a CD-R or CD-RW installed in your computer and b) you need to use CD Burning Software such as Nero Burning ROM or Eazy CD Creator by Roxio.
Of course, you need a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc to burn to. :)

If you have windows xp, just right click on the file, then send to..(letter of burner). Nero is good for Win98 as well as backup burning for any Windows version.

That's all I ever purchase. No offense & with all due admire , screw Blu Ray structure ! Lol. Too pricey structure for probably the most aspect. Sorry Blu Ray fanatics ! It's not anything individual , however DVD structure does it for me to complete one hundred% pride. I on no account wanted or requested for extra. I care extra approximately what's going on within the film & the readability & the greater recording or crisper recording of it most effective impresses me for seconds & the truly primary aspect of DVD's & or Blu Ray's is the rattling film. The first-class of the Blu Ray structure most effective impresses me for cut up moments & then what all of it boils right down to is what the film name is & what it is approximately. I do not watch a film constantly regularly considering or speaking approximately how nice the first-class is. Quality is fine , however it isn't the whole lot with regards to forgetting approximately the first-class as soon as you're deep in idea & all wrapped up within the plot of looking a film. Damn the greater first-class. The first-class is brief lived. I can not inform the change among DVD & Blu Ray structure(s) , nor do I care approximately the change of Blu Ray or DVD. I'm no longer inspired a lot approximately first-class of the Blu Ray video as I am extra approximately the precise value of the film & looking it. No offense. :-) Lol !!
