it is kinda old fashioned - as a teacher i would be afraid to eat it - something simple is nice though as a thank you - maybe a flower or a memopad or soemthing though - no food

Yeah, it is. Why an apple though? I'm going to be a teacher and I wouldn't want an apple. A thank you would be way better.

Yeah, it's pretty old-fashioned. I don't think anyone does that anymore. It's probably better to just tell them thank you, or give them a gift certificate to a bookstore or somewhere else they would like to shop.

No...teachers become great friends over the school year...I see students giving perfume/stuffed bears/photoframes and other things to teachers to show their appreciation :)
