And does it stick with you today? Haunting you, leaving you wishing for a time machine?

I guess one wishes for different things at different ages:
at seven, I wanted to be a teacher
at 11, a writer
at 12 a nurse
at 17, an engineer
at 18, a freedom fighter
at 25, a mother
at 28 a physics and math teacher
at 32 I wanted to work in intellligence division in police dept.
at 45, helping communities in development projects

The only thing I have not done is work for the Police. But I chose not to as I found out there is a lot of corruption there. (I don't live in the u.s.)

Everything else I have done, so, thinking this out, maybe we end up doing what we want if we put our minds and hands to it.

Wow, do you really want to know that?

Like all five year old little boys, I wanted to grow up to be a marine biologist, get married, have a nice little house, and be a good husband and father and live a quiet life.

Unfortunately, if there is a God, those were not his plans for my life, so I do find myself regretting the things I didn't get to have a bit, especially the part about being a father. I always wanted to be that more than anything else.

I wanted to be a journalist. I actually tried, but failed. Now, I'm a teacher. I don't want to go back in time, and this doesn't haunt me, because I am very happy to be a teacher. Now I think I would not have known what I was losing if I had been a journalist, after all.

a doctor. When i got into the field i realized that i love helping people and i can do that in many different fields. I tryed the hospital thing, liked it a lot but didnt love it enough to stay. Perhaps someday i'll go back. In college we're taught that the ave change of majors is 7-9 times. I dont miss wanting to be a dr. I look foward to being many things. :) besides i got to play dr many times as a child. WOOO what fun!
